You shouldn't let rain ruin your Banff elopement photography because you know what they say... rain on your wedding day is a sign of good luck. Melissa and Kyle certainly didn't let the rain bring them down during their wedding at Tunnel Mountain. Their laughter and joy was contagious and I was lucky to witness their beautiful ceremony as their Banff elopement photographer.

Rain for Your Wedding at Tunnel Mountain is a Sign of Good Luck
According to Hindu tradition, a wet knot is harder to untie, therefore rain on the day you "tie the knot" is considered lucky! You definitely shouldn't fear rain during your Tunnel Mountain elopement photography because with umbrellas can keep you dry and modern professional cameras can handle the precipitation. If it's really coming down hard there's always the option to postpone your couple's photos by a few hours or drive a bit based on what the weather radar is showing. The weather patterns in the Bow Valley are such that it can be raining in Banff but sunny in Canmore just 20 minutes away. Either way, we have options and your Tunnel Mountain elopement photographer will carry on no matter what the weather gods have in store!
Dealing with rain on your wedding day doesn't have to be something you worry about.

Beautiful Vows at This Tunnel Mountain Wedding
Melissa and Kyle's wedding ceremony at Tunnel Mountain was a privilege to witness and to photograph as their Banff elopement photographer. I really love photographing elopements because they're really fast paced, with all the laughter and tears you get at a bigger wedding, but at a much smaller and more intimate scale. Melissa and Kyle's elopement in Banff was one such wedding—an absolute pleasure to photograph! Their ceremony at Tunnel Mountain was incredibly touching... at one point one of the groomsmen brought out a recording and played it on a speaker, making everyone tear up. The love Melissa and Kyle displayed for each other in front of all those present was overflowing, and we all felt butterflies during their vows. As a Banff elopement photographer this was one of the most touching ceremonies I had ever witnessed.

The Sun Comes Out for Their Banff Elopement Photography
Despite the rain that came down during this Banff elopement ceremony, we were all treated to sunshine by the end. We made the most of the clearing weather and took some photos at Tunnel Mountain as well as Surprise Corner. The weather in the Rockies may be fickle at certain times of the year but the good part is that it passes as quickly as it arrives! It was an honour to be Kyle and Melissa's Banff elopement photographer at Tunnel Mountain and I wish them nothing but the best in their future together!
