I met Melanie and Anthony at Lake Minnewanka during a busy long weekend where you could hardly find parking! We spend a few hours walking around to a few different spots, some of which I had never shot at before. I love seeking out new locations and compositions to keep my creativity in high gear. After shooting at Lake Minnewanka so many times it's easy to get complacent and shoot the same spots and angles over and over again. That's why I constantly challenge myself to try new things whether it's new techniques, angles or locations. We had a really fun time getting to know each other and did a bit of sightseeing in the process!
I love the photo with the canoes in the foreground since it reminds me of a classic shot at Moraine Lake.
